Michelle Tillis – Information coming soon!

Brett McClung

Brett McClung is a long-time Marietta CPA who likes to think himself as the not-so-prototypical CPA!

Originally from Thomasville, Brett has been a Cobb County resident since 1981. Brett planned to graduation from the University of Georgia, however after spending 3 of the best years of his life in Athens, his father told him it was time to actually graduate. With that, Brett received a BBA in Accounting from Georgia State. However, he still remains a rabid Dawgs fan!

Brett is proud to call Cobb County home and it shows by how involved he is in the community! A graduate of Leadership Cobb (1989) and Co-Chair of Leadership Cobb (2018), he is also a PA for the Lassiter basketball, baseball, and football “chain gang”, a baseball coach and Little League President, a member of the church choir, a Deacon and Sunday School teacher, a former Fair Board President and Board member, and the Co-Chair of Cobb Youth Leadership (2006). Brett is also a member of various industry accounting boards and has chaired the Cobb Citizens Oversight Committee.

He met his wife, Bess, in 5th grade and they were married for 38 years. They were blessed with two sons, Whit and Morgan, and now have two beautiful daughters-in-law, Ashley and Lauren, completing what is affectionately known as the Fab Four. Sadly, Bess passed away last year, but her presence is felt in this room.

An avid fan of the arts, Brett is hoping that his years of watching Grease, Dirty Dancing, and Saturday Night Fever will somehow translate to magic on the stage tonight!

Melanie Kagan

Melanie Kagan is the Northwest Regional Director for the United Way of Greater Atlanta and has been with the organization for just over a year. Melanie has an extensive background in nonprofit management and development as well as prior experience with healthcare administration and contract management. She is a proud graduate of the University of New Mexico and is fairly new to the Atlanta area, having recently relocated with her family from Albuquerque, NM. She has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, iCouldBe mentoring and many other nonprofit organizations. She is the Social Chair for her HOA, which is fitting because she loves to throw parties. She’s married to the love of her life, Maxwell Kagan and together the two have 5 kids. Between football, cheerleading, basketball, soccer and baseball they enjoy traveling and working out. Melanie danced as a kid but it’s been a REALLY long time. . . . so be nice.
